Each year we collect backpacks and the items needed to fill them to give out to children whose parents might not be able to afford this school requirement. Gone are the days when schools provided everything a child needs, down to the pencil. Not only do children have to bring their own supplies, they even need to bring tissue boxes and hand sanitizer to share with the classroom.
