Mentoring Opportunities Information Request

~ Our most recent mentoring project is a literacy and storytelling outreach to school students with digital media skill training through FreshRadioUS.com. It's called Muddy Sneakers. This is grassroots community engagement through mentoring. Fill out the Contact us form above and mention Muddy Sneakers if you would like to be involved.

~ Lifewerks has partnered with area universities since 2008 to be a conduit for the next generation to learn the tools to serve their world. We offer a leadership program that empowers young people with the skills to become agents of change to the 21st century. We provide hands on experiences, non-profit management insights and community engagement and creative problem solving. Projects include combating childhood hunger, life skill development, literacy and digital media skill training.

(If you are an adult with any of the skills mentioned above, please enquire about helping us mentor our student mentors. It's all about layering from one skill level down through the age brackets to development tomorrow's leaders.)

~ Past student-lead projects include a Student Resource Guide, Art Therapy Kits, a campus food drop, community cleanup projects, annual MLK 365 events, Little Library, Book giveaways at schools, a weekend food drop for kids, and a Book drive to collect 5,000+ books for the children’s section of a local children’s library.
