Eagle Scout Food Drive Almost Halfway Over!

Jack Dougherty chose the Lifewerks Food Pantry as the focus of his Eagle Scout Project.

You may have seen one of these flyers floating around your neighborhood:

Jack designed it himself. I'm impressed!

But then, Jack is a take-charge kind of guy.

Pick up in our own neighborhood will be happening this coming weekend, and then once again in mid-October. I'm sure that if anyone wants to help with the pickup of food from porches he will be grateful. Just ask from our contact form, and I'll connect you. Eagle Scout projects are almost always the catalyst for a lifestyle of philantropy, a culmination of all those Scouting activities through the years. It's no wonder that so many Scouts who reach the Eagle Scout milestone go on to be leaders themselves. So, a very big THANK YOU, JACK - and all those who have assisted you in this endeavor to make a difference during these times. It is acts of charity like this that help us all to focus on the things we want to remember, rather than the things we would rather forget. We'll keep you updated! If Jack isn't picking up in your neighborhood this weekend, and you want to contribute to his donation, feel free to drop off your donation at the pantry on Sunday the 19th between 1:30-2:30.
