We had the honor of having Alex from Philabundance gave a presentation about the Healthy Pantry Initiative. Alex educated all of the volunteers at Lifewerks on several skills to use to help choose healthier options for themselves and our clients. She covered how to read nutrition labels and let us know what people want from the pantry. Alex also gave us new labels to put on the shelves in order to show that the item is whole grain, low sodium, etc!
